In this political cartoon, there is a flight attendant reviewing safety guidlenes on an aircraft. The passengers sitting in upright position looks terrified. In the speech bubble it states ' In case of an emergency FOR A FEE.. oxygen masks will drop down.' The cartoonist is trying to imply that it's going to cost us an extra amount for a safety, on top of the overpriced airline tickets.
While this nation battle against obesity, wars, and unemployment; airlines are now charging unbelievable prices to carry luggages and ensuring our safety. It's already a struggle going through airport security, now their charging a copious amount just to bring a few pieces of clothing. Only if cars could drive on water, many Americans with large families would be driving instead of flying. This is absurb, I understand profitting from people bringing extra baggage to fulfill unnecessary needs. But charging extra for our safety, that's already payed for in an overpriced plane ticket. At this rate, pretty soon we will all be charged for breathing.
