In the political cartoon above, you see a plane with Europe written across the side. There are giant clouds of ashes from the volcano erupting in Iceland in the shape of giant hands. One of them is grabbing the plane. The artist is illustrating the fact that no planes can fly from Europe anywhere because the volcanic ashes could cause the plane to crash. Although European airlines have all the right be upset about the volcanic ashes, the Icelandic people have more to worry about. If they breath in too much of these volcanic ashes, they may contract a very serious disease called pneumonoultramicroscopicsiliconvolcanoconiosis, which basically is a very small, deadly silicon based disease that occurs from breathing volcano ashes. If you catch the illness at the beginning, when you have little ashes in your lungs, it can be treated. But if you have too much ash in your lungs, there is nothing that can be done. The people of Europe should help Iceland get rid of these ashes in the air not only to help themselves out, but to save the lives of Icelandic people.
