In the cartoon, we see two men standing on a broken ground, one with a shirt that says Haiti and the other one saying Chile. The Haitian man is saying "Welcome To March Sadness" because throughout the month of March, Haiti and Chile have had earthquakes causing their population vast devastation.
Many people have lost their homes, and family because of the disasters that have occured in Haiti and Chile. Even if they get back their material things, they will never be able to replace the sentimental values or people lost.
