In this political cartoon there is the average American family. The wife seems to be reading an article titled 'Childhood Obesity', while the husband realized the title and said "our kids don't have an obsesity problem." Then, to the far right, a picture of Uncle Sam appears labeled "spending." The artist is trying to say that America has gone far beyond its budget. While Michelle Obama tackles obesity in young children, the issue of obese spending is being tackled as well. Mrs. Obama noticed the rising weight problem in American youths, so she decided to take a swing at promoting a healthier lifestyle for these adoloscents. On the other end, her husband is taking on the weight bearing issue of American spending. Even though it seems like no results are coming through, both husband and wife are staying consistent.
