In the picture we see Obama's wife fuming with a newspaper in her hands with the headline "Prez still smoking" while catching Obama in the act. By his feet there are two already smoking cigarettes revealing that this had become a habit in response to the struggles he is facing as president. On his desk are books with the problems he is facing like health care and Iran which indicate a relation between his smoking and societal issues.
Feeling overwhelmed, Obama resorts to smoking in order to escape from his daily stress as president but there is no excuse for such an action. Smoking is a horrible habit and could lead to health problems such as lung cancer. Other options are available to relieve stress in his situation instead of smoking cigarettes. Not to mention, all of America looks to him to guide our country in the right direction and by smoking he isn't being the role model or example to others that he should be as our president. I understand being the president and dealing with so much on a daily basis and having to make sure you always make the best decisions must be extremely difficult but he could deal with it in other ways than harming himself in a sense of his health and reputation.
