In the political cartoon above, you see a man who has been strip searched to see if he is carrying anything that is not allowed on board the plane. On his clothes are the words Freedom, Dignity, Autonomy, Sovereignty, and Independence. A lady named Janet N. says to the man "well, you're not getting this stuff back." The artist is trying to say that we used to have all these rights at all times but now because of recent terrorist attacks they have been taken from us. Although many terrorist attacks have occurred in the last few years past, we as Americans should still be allowed our rights. Ever since 9/11, airline security has become increasingly strict with no signs of letting up. This is beginning to become an issue because Americans are feeling that their privacy is being invaded by the airline security. They have the right to randomly pick anyone out of a line of people and search everything they have and even strip search them until they are convinced that they are not a threat to the passengers on whatever flight they're going on. It is understood that it's done for the safety of everyone but the authority that the security has is a bit ridiculous. www.cagle.msnbc.com/news/PlaneTerror/4.asp
