In this cartoon the white house is present in the background with a bubble over it saying “Well, look at the bright side, Michelle…At least they’re outdoors and getting exercise.” Outside the gates of the White houses there is an overweight angry mob with picket signs in their hands. Some of the signs read “The tree of liberty is watered with High Fructose Corn Syrup!”, “keep your big Gov’t hands Off My Love Handles!”, and “Socialism” with Michelle Obama face painted unattractive. The mob is against Michelle Obama fight against obesity.
Even though Michelle Obama, the presidents’ wife makes an effort to do a good thing and educate Americans about the epidemic of obesity, she feels the scorns of critics and protesters. Some Americans are making their point clear that they like themselves for who they are and what they eat and how much they exercise should not become a top priority issue in the White House. They have the right to choose what ever life style they fancy, America is not a socialist country where everybody lives and eats on the same level.
