In this political cartoon; It's a car entitled 'Spending' driving off the edge of the cliff, with American baggages. Obama at the steering wheel and Uncle Sam in the back seat, none have control over the situation. Obama asked why does he have to call Toyota for advice, Uncle Sam replay by saying 'The Accelarator's stuck'.Though America and Toyota are in the same position, both have to maintain their posture in order to pull through this crisis. Profit for both America and Toyota have plummet. Federal spending is spinning out of control and the economy is sinking further in debt. Toyota is loosing profits and credibility due to a major recall on their vehicles. Even if Toyota and America tighten some loose screws, evidently the effort won't be enough to recover the damage that's already done.
