In this political cartoon two guns are shown pointing in the same direction after having just fired one bullet each. In the bottom right corner there is a Q:A paper that asks Q: Can you tell which of these bullets was fired by a gay soldier?. It then answers A: Take a year to study the question.
I have been personally affected by the "Don't Ask. Don't Tell" military movement since a multitude of people in my family have joined the Armed Forces, and the entire "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" situation has remained at the same point since my grandfather joined decades ago. No difference, evident or hidden, is shown between a gay person and a straight person except different lifestyle choices.
