cagle.com/caglecards/main.asp?image=/news/GaysMilitary10/images/walters.jpgIn the image above, you see what looks like an army general holding a copy of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy while talking to what looks to be a gay couple. In the general's dialogue bubble it says "Good news!! You'll soon be able to fight and die for a country that won't let you get married." Although gay marriage is wrong in the Christian community, they should be allowed to experience love and matrimony before having to fight for the country that they live in. Even with the don't ask don't tell policy, men and women who are gay and lesbian should be allowed to talk amongst themselves while fighting for a country that frowns upon their beliefs. I feel that it is ridiculous that they have to hide who they are because it does not embody the non-gay qualities of a military soldier. If you can fight for your country, even if you have to hide your sexual orientation, but you cannot even get married to who you chose, there is a serious problem.

This is in reference to the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy that men who are homosexual may not tell anyone or they may not be allowed to fight in the armed forces.
It is ridiculous that they have to hide who they are because it does not embody the non-gay qualities of a military soldier.
If you can fight for your country, even if you have to hide your sexual orientation, but you cannot even get married to who you chose, serious problems are evident with the military's system of operations.
