2. Use an adverbial clause in a compound-complex sentence discussing Chillingworth's action at the end of The Scarlet Letter.- As Chillingworth drank his tea and Hester ate some crumpets, the police came to arrest them.
3. Use a dependent clause of your choice in a sentence about Pearl playing in the graveyard. Identify which type of clause (adverbial or adjectival) you have used. - While(adverbial) Pearl played in the graveyard she began to sing.
4. In a complex sentence in which you describe your feelings about The Scarlet Letter, include two dependent clauses of your choice. Identify each dependent clause and tell which type it is.- Since i didn't actually read the book yet i think it was amazing.
5. Write a compound-complex sentence explaining who you think is the most innocent character in The Scarlet Letter. Identify which type of dependent clause you used. - I think that that guy in the book is the most innocent character because, he was so innocent.

2. Use an adverbial clause in a compound-complex sentence discussing Chillingworth's action at the end of The Scarlet Letter.-

Since i didn't actually read the book yet i think it was amazing. INCORRECT - and a pet peeve error; only 1 dependent clause evident

- I think that that guy in the book is the most innocent character because, he was so innocent. INCORRECT - only a complex sentence and a pet peeve error is evident

1. Now that Hester Prynne is rich, she wants to buy the mansion across the street. 4. After I read The Scarlet Letter it didn't seem so horrible, but while reading it I was not fond of it at all. 5. Reverend Dimmesdale is the most innocent character because he is very understanding and the least judgemental. (adjectival clauses)

4. This is a compound-complex sentence and contains one pet peeve error
