1) Hester Prynne, who is an attractive woman, commited adultery. 2) Chillingworth books passage on the ship because he knew Dimmesdale and Prynne would be on it. 3) Pearl, who was a vibrant little girl, was playing in the graveyard. (Adjectival) 4) The Scarlet Letter,which is written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, stirs feelings of intrigue and understanding within us, because although we have not experienced adultery, the way the novel is written makes it easy to empathize.
An adjectival clause and an adverbial clause, respectively.
5) The most innocent character in The Scarlett Letter is Roger Chillingworth because he is plagued by his actions, and in the end they consume him. (Adverbial Clause)
