In the picture you see the word Haiti spelled out in rocks that seem to be crumbling and a crack in the ground signifying the earthquake. Also, you see a hand reaching up from the rubble in hope of lending hand. The message of this cartoon is to show the great need of Haiti after the tragedy that just occurred. It shows the affect the earthquake has had on the country and the immense amount of need of the people who live there as well. The devastation of the earthquakes in Haiti affects everyone but I believe that we can lend them that helping hand they long for. America has the resources and I believe we can truly rebuild the city that crumbled, the homes that have been demolished and hope that has been lost. I know relief efforts are already in way but I know we can exceed their expectations and aid them in anyway possible if we just took the time out of our busy schedules.
