In this cartoon Obama is driving spending over the cliff with other passenger in the car while he say "Now i will lighty apply pressure to the breaks." The cartoon shows that Obama is spending a large sum of the country's money without noticing that all the money that he's spending are going to be wasted.
On February 17, 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which is a $787 billion economic stimulus package aimed to help the recovery of the worldwide recession. However, so far these money did not accomplish much which is shown by the steady increase of unemployment rate. Unsatisfied with the recovery progress, Obama accelerated the spending. This excessive deficit spending may bring United State into another recession that will be harder to recover from.
