In this political cartoon a mother gives her son a post-it to write down his wish list. The boy looks shocked and the mother holds in her hand a newspaper titled "Economic Recession". This cartoon portrays the money troubles people are facing today. The Economic Recession has ruin Christmas. Some people are not going to be able to buy the gifts they want for their love ones. This has everyone on a tight budget. Years ago when a child wakes up Christmas morning, they would see a plethora of gifts under the tree. But now some kids may not get everything they want. They may be two or three gifts because right now that is all their parents can afford. Its even worse for those kids whose parents has lost their jobs in the past few months. These kids won't get gifts at all because their parents just don't have the money. Instead of having a long sheet of paper where you put down your wishes, you are now limited to a post-it. This economic recession has not only affected the parents but also the children. Its sad to know that some kids will be waking up with disappointing faces Christmas morning.

This cartoon shows a major point through humor. This cartoon is actually kind of funny thinking about a mom giving her child a sticky note to write his or her Christmas list on. The economic recession is definitely going to play a major role in many peoples Christmas this year and the odds of children getting less gifts than they usually do is high. Parents are gonna be unable to spend as much and if your a child, this year you better be ready to write your gift list on post it.
