In this cartoon, there is an arm of a dead person, next to a gun, with a copious amount of bullets surrounding them both on the ground. On the top of this illustration there is a quote by Mahatma Gandhi saying: “…tyrants and murderers… can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall.” This political cartoon talks about the situation that is currently going on in Mumbai, India about the terrorists attacks from Pakistan. This act of terrorism went on for 3 days (November 26-29). Various attacks (bombings, shootings and hostage crises) have taken place in areas with a plethora amount of people such as, the Chhatrapati Shivaji (historic train station) Terminus, the Oberoi Trident( hotel), the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Leopold Cafe, Cama Hospital, and other places. Many people have lost their lives do to this insanity of man. The quote to me means that, people who have control, and use it for evil only last for a little while; as most people say good always triumphs over evil and if Gandhi, the man who always talked about having peace with your fellow man, was able to see this kind of bloodshed in his country he would be heartbroken.
