As we can see here, the evidence is terribly horrifying. There is a witch-like fortune teller with a crystal ball telling the GOP elephant his future. The fortune teller circles her hands around the crystal globe and says, "I see a well-dressed nightmare in your future." On the globe, the one and only, Sarah Palin, pops up with a rather large smile on her face and a frisky wink. The elephant's eyes open with horror. The elephant is the symbol for the Republican party and it's only reasonable that the elephant (Republican party) would be horrified by the thought of Palin running for presidency in the United States. Many believe that it was the work of Palin that ruined the election for John McCain and the Republicans think, as it is evident in this cartoon, that she may very well ruin her own election; as a consequence, we will have another Democratic leader. This is what the elephant is so scared of.
In a society where altruistic beliefs are considerably scarce (the society we live in), it is only natural that the Republicans only think of themselves when it comes to choosing a president. When the Republicans see that Sarah Palin is planning on running for president, most of them instantly become angry or filled with terror because it is likely that she may lose the election, rendering the Democrat as the president. Obviously Republicans do not benefit much from having a Democratic president and would much rather have a Republican as president, just not Sarah Palin. Although I'm usually the objective party in many situations, if I were a Republican I'd be angry at the fact that she would even want to consider running for president and taking away the chances of a potentially better candidate for Republican presidency. Many would probably think Palin is either deaf or blind to what is shown and said on the media, but for everyone else, the message is loud and clear: Sarah Palin should not run for president of the United States!
