In this political cartoon , it illustrates the forest glowing in the burning flames of the wild fire, producing a thick white smoke, forming into in a giant skull. This cartoon is describing the danger of what is happening in a particular part of the western region in the United States. In California, there have been reports of wildfires destroying forests, the animals that dwell there, homes, cities and basically the lives of people. The skull which is a common form of death is above the wild fire; so it can be said that the skull is an illuming sense of death above the forest. On Friday the 14th in Montecito, California, home of the rich and famous (or used to be), the wild fire destroyed a number of 111 residences. Oprah Winfrey, who mansion was in the direct path of the flames, was spared before it could be engulfed by the flames. According to firefighters 5,000 people had to be evacuated from the town of Sylmar just north of Los Angeles because of the approaching bush fires REFERENCES: www.efluxmedia.com/news_Montecito_California_Wildfire_Steers_Clear_Of_Oprahs_House_29049.html

Good work analyzing the cartoon, Mikhail. You did not construct an argument in response to the topic of the cartoon. Your evidence and research was superb. Please review the edits made above: you have used the same awkward construction in many of your cartoons. It distracts from the good, quality writing that is prevalent throughout the rest of your response.
Reply to classmate needed a bit more elaboration.
