This cartoon shows a married couple preparing their sleep new sleep number bed. The t.v is showing a chart that says financial panic and a line going down. The adults are putting money under their bed. The Male says "mine at 6500" and the women says " mines at 7500". There is a box at the bottom of the cartoon that says "the 2008 sleep number bed" with sleep number in quotations.
This cartoon explains the wall street crash that happened recently. The couple puts money under their bed because it will be safe there and the more money they have under their bed or how much more is safe the better they will sleep that night. If the U.S is the biggest nation in the world how come we cant solve a little dilemma like this? I have heard that this crash isn't the end, that there is more to come. I don't understand how we can predict this and not do anything about it! The sleep number bed is not a bank and the fact that people put money under their bed is because of all the banks that are going under
