This cartoon juxtaposed two different viewpoints between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. On the left, there is a picture of a baby sitting in the woods. The baby was being referred to as Sarah Palin. Most of her views seem very child-like as she presents a minimum amount of knowledge in this election. During the debate, Biden asked Palin a copious amount of questions, but Palin, not knowing the answers, in a professional manner refused to answer them. On the right, there is a moose with a target on it, which symbolizes Joe Biden. Sarah Palin views Biden as a target. Once she gets him out of the way, she thinks she will have an upper advantage.
Most of Palin incite in this election hasn’t been more than a view of a “baby.” She hasn’t been able to present herself as a person who actually knows what she is talking about. Babies tend to rely on other people because they are naïve, but to the extent we’ve seen, Palin has been relying on McCain to know what to say and do. Biden’s view on Palin seems more convincing after seeing the recent presidential debate. Palin seemed lost and didn't know what to do as she kept repeating her self constantly. The baby in the picture is in the woods. There’s a strong possibility that the author might have done this to elaborate on Joe Biden’s viewing on Sarah Palin as the outdoorsy, country type female. Sarah Palin in nothing more than just her “cute” outside looks, much like a baby. They only look adorable from the outside, as they are to naïve to know anything yet. On the other hand, Palin views Biden as a moose. Palin is greatly known for her moose hunting skills and Biden is just referred to as another one of those moose ready to be attacked. Palin sees Biden as a target and once she gets him out of the way, she will be closer to victory. This cartoon drew conclusions to how Palin views Biden, and vise versa. This explicitly explained to us how Palin is still a “baby” in this election, and Biden is a target being aimed for. The cartoon provided two different viewpoints between the two vice president candidates.
