This political cartoon shows a couple in their bedroom putting their own money under their 2008 “Sleep Number” Bed. Next to the bed is a chart of the stock market going down lower (financial panic). On the husband’s side of the bed he says: “My side is at $6500.” While on the wife side of the bed she says: “Mines at $7500.” This cartoon shows that at this rate this is what people in America are going to have to come to since the stock market has crash, hiding money under their beds like criminals. Since the stock market has crash people are afraid to put their money in banks or any kind of other stock marketing companies (since the stock market and banks are connected) because they think that if they do they might get bankrupt in the process losing everything they own.

Having a bed full with money is not a smart idea. Not only will it be uncomfortable to sleep on but you will be an easy target to rob. The only good part is that you don't have to travel to the bank to make a deposit. But maybe this is our only option. The way banks and stock markets are crashing, people can't afford to have money in a bank or stock market. People don't want to lose the money that they have worked so hard for. They want to be assured that their money is in a safe and reliable place. If the banks get worse and all shutdown, if you have more than $100,000 in your savings, you are going to loose most of your money because the government is only giving back $100,000. Shoving money under your bed is probably now the only way you can know that you won't loose your money due to others stupid mistakes. This crash will be hard on some, since most people are wont to putting money in the bank.

Fair analysis but incomplete with no discussion of cartoon's significance; argument non-existent. Facts alone do not make an argument.
No reply to classmate.
