www.cagle.com/working/080914/matson.jpgIn this political cartoon, it shows McCain and Obama walking together hand-in hand away from the important matters behind them. This shows them as not only a bad influence but as wannabe presidents who believe love and friendship will prevail and leaving out wars and other concerns behind them will ultimately take care of itself. This is not true. Yes, their speeches did not give enough detail of what they will do if they were up for presidency, however they are more than qualified enough for the job and people are taking their kindness for granted. Both McCain and Obama talked and showed what they will do if they were up for presidency or not and to say that being friends hand-in-hand will only cut off and that’s all their doing is just wrong.

A misread of the cartoon; the cartoon depicts the two of them taking the "high road"; that is, they are tackling the important issues and not focusing on trivial matters. No reply to classmate.
