In this cartoon, numerous amounts of polar bears are shown holding Obama signs. They are shown standing on small pieces of ice, showing that global warming due to pollution is affecting this endangered species. The reason they are holding Obama signs is due to the Bush Administration being unproductive protecting the now endangered polar bears. This is the reason why they are not holding McCain signs. McCain is constantly compared to Bush because he has voted with the president 90% of the time and has the same views. The fish in the bottom right corner are shown saying, "Barack doesn't seem to be having problems with whites...". This comment is used because a majority of white Americans believe that we should not have a black president and many people believe that if he is elected, he will be immediately targeted by Ku Klux Klan groups and other white supremacy groups.
This is true. The Bush Administration has done nothing except put the polar bears on the endangered species list. He has not been proactive by protecting these creatures and has not paid any attention toward the topic. The polar bears holding the Obama signs are clever because it shows that the democrats are in favor of helping the polar bears and researching what they can do to save their environment. This cartoon shows the true colors of the Bush Administration and the positive views of Obama.
