For this task, you and your partner are going to create a variety of sentences in which you use adverbial and adjectival clauses.
Compose the following sentences in a new thread under this Task.
1. Use an adjectival clause in a complex sentence describing Hester Prynne.
2. Use an adverbial clause in a compound-complex sentence discussing Chillingworth's action at the end of The Scarlet Letter.
3. Use a dependent clause of your choice in a sentence about Pearl playing in the graveyard. Identify which type of clause (adverbial or adjectival) you have used.
4. In a complex sentence in which you describe your feelings about The Scarlet Letter, include two dependent clauses of your choice. Identify each dependent clause and tell which type it is.
5. Write a compound-complex sentence explaining who you think is the most innocent character in The Scarlet Letter. Identify which type of dependent clause you used.
